Welcome to the Mission Advance blog for all those who long to make an impact and a living. We aim to breathe new life into the way we view our work and personal lives. We recognize that when we are able to shift our perspectives, we see and embrace possibilities. If you are yearning to live with purpose and advance your mission, then welcome aboard — you’ve found a new home.
Sometimes we just need a space where freedom is welcomed and nurtured. If your mission is begging for connection, organization and advancement, then we will inspire you to find it beginning today.
Research has shown that we need more time to disconnect from the cares of our world and reconnect with the call of our souls. When we disconnect from the noise and daily demands, we are able to return rejuvenated and with a fresh perspective. This certainly does wonders for us in our professional roles as well as in our personal relationships.
Find Your Calm
One of the best ways to gain perspective and plan next steps is to get outside and surround ourselves with the sights, sounds and smells of the beautiful earth God created. Nature provides the soothing medicine that we can all use. Also, choosing quiet places helps us breathe in new life, which invigorates us to be more creative, happier and live more fulfilled lives–thus be more successful in our work and personal endeavors.
Shift Your Focus
When old ways of thinking are no longer working, a shift in perspective can be the remedy we need to clear away confusion and see with new eyes. Casting a vision to advance a mission doesn’t mean shifting from our core beliefs; it means opening our eyes and heart to other ways of thinking that may include:
~ Talking less and listening more.
~ Judging less and understanding more.
~ Running less and kneeling more.
~ Arguing less and loving more.
~ Working less and savoring more.
When we are consumed with our mindsets and our own world views, we limit ourselves to possibilities, resolution, peace and beauty. Let’s face it my friend, life’s a little too short to be limiting ourselves with partial views. Partial views only give us a slice of life. Panoramic views—now that’s where the real beauty and full picture can be found.
As we post, we’d love to hear from you. Your story and mission are youniquely yours. So share with us by adding a comment in the comment section or connecting with us on social media.
